If you've got a blocked drain, sewer or gutter, this drain rod set will help clear many blockages before the need to call a plumber or professional. The set has 2 attachments for 2 distinct uses, and it's essential that you use the correct attachment for the blockage. This set is only designed for external blockages (in pipes outside your house). It shouldn't be used for blockages inside the house (eg blocked sinks or toilets). For these, use domestic plungers or augers (not supplied). For blockages in waste water pipes (these take water away from your sink, washing machine or drainpipes) use the plunger attachment (10cm across). These drains are usually covered by a thin plastic mesh and can be easily accessed without heavy lifting or specialist tools.
