Hussar of Evolution Active Ingredient
- Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl 64g/l (phenoxypropionate herbicide)
Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl inhibits the biosynthesis of grass weeds rapidly after application. Through its systemic action, Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl acts on the growing points of the leaf bases, stems, and roots by inhibiting the formation of cell membranes leading to death within 2-4 weeks after application depending on the environmental conditions. Newer leaf tissue will be yellow (chlorotic) or brown (necrotic).
Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl acts on the target weeds exclusively via the foliage and has no soil activity. It is effective against annual grass weeds from the two-leaf stage of the weeds upto the end of tillering.
Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium (sulfonylurea herbicide)
The primary biological target site of Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium is the enzyme acetohydrodroxyacid synthase (AHAS). It acts by inhibiting biosynthesis of the essential amino acids (valine and isoleucine), hence stopping cell division and plant growth.
The visible symptoms of herbicidal action are arrested growth within the first few days after application and the appearance of chlorotic patches, followed by slow shoot necrosis.
Susceptible weeds cease to grow almost immediately after post-emergence application, thus preventing weed competition with the crop from the very few days of treatment. Weeds will be completely killed in 4-6 weeks after postemergence application.
Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium acts on the target weeds (grasses and many broad-leaf weeds) via the foliage and, to a less extent, via the roots.
The Safener,Ā Mefenpyr-diethyl, acts by enhancing the rate of degradation of Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl and Iodosulfuronmethyl-sodium in wheat, thus protecting the crop from the herbicidal effect of the product. No such enhancement is observed in the grass weed species. Selectivity in wheat is due to differential degradation compared with that of grass weeds which is enhanced by the addition of safener mefenpyr-diethyl.

Hussar of Evolution Directions For Use
Hussar of Evolution should be applied only once per growing season, post-emergence of the crop, and target weeds. Hussar of Evolution can be applied as soon as weeds begin to grow and up to the latest crop growth stage of BBCH 29-32 (End of tillering/flag leaf stage).
The product is most effective on young, actively growing weeds and should be applied under climatic conditions favorable for the growth of crops and weeds about 2-4 leaf growth stage.
