The lemon eucalyptus contains eucalyptol, which at its current concentration has the ability to repel insects from the skin once applied. This compound acts synergistically with those in tea trees, lavender, cedarwood, and patchouli to maximize insect repellence for at least three long hours. The lavender oil also assists in healing insect bites. The lavender and tea tree hydrosols act as natural solubilizers; mixing with the essential oils and diluting them to assure safety.
